Haribos: cheap and tasty – especially in a long uphill!

The first half of todays stage was to most runnable part of the TAR so far – it was almost a halfmarathon on the cycling path (road!). As I do usually really hate this kind of running I wondered how quick the kilometers went away and after less than 1:30h we passed the foodstation 2 (km 20,9) – ok, to be honest it was mainly downhill from St. Valentin 😉 I guess that it was not only me who was looking forward to the last and only big climb of today where hiking was allowed!

Just 5km to the finish!

The last 14km it was only alpine terrain and probably Tofol and me had the fastest climbing time – he was pushing and motivating me hard! Maybe it was good that it was a bit clouded so that the top didn’t look to far away…

Today’s refuelling during the race:

Some Haribos – 1 marshmallow – a few salted nuts (Macadamia!)

2 cups Cola – 2 cups Iso – 1 Salomon SoftFlask water – some water from wells

As usual find here my move and the results of the day.

Welcome to Sulden 🙂
